A Mascot Showed Up At Adrian Peterson's Court Hearing Today
Adrian Peterson made his first appearance in a Montgomery County (Texas) court today on the charge of reckless or negligent injury to one of his sons. Not much happened. The indefinitely suspended running back didn't even enter a formal plea. The prosecutor said he would file a motion asking for a new judge after Judge Kelly Case allegedly called lawyers in the case " media whores."
And this person showed up.
Whoever it was even took the time to clarify the type of animal, saying it was a wildcat, the mascot for Palestine High School in Texas where Peterson played football. That's also the school where a former teammate says he and Peterson got smacked with a solid-oak paddle several times by the team's defensive coordinator.
