Arsenal Mounted A Ridiculous Comeback Against Reading Today
Arsenal came back from a 4-0 first half deficit and beat Reading in today's Capital One Cup match 7-5 in extra time. The madcap affair featured the Royals skating to the early 4-0 lead thanks in part to a Laurent Koscielny own goal, only to finally get on the board in added time of the first half. That goal was by Theo Walcott, who'd add two more-the first six minutes into added time at the end of regulation and forcing extra time.
As if that wasn't strange enough, Arsenal's first goal in extra time wouldn't hold up as Pavel Pogrebnyak scored for Reading in the 115th minute and setting up what everyone believed would be a penalty shootout. Except Arsenal had two more goals in them, both coming in the added time of extra time.
