Bethune-Cookman Wins Florida Classic With Gutsy Two-Point Conversion
Bethune-Cookman has been playing Florida A & M for nearly a century, and has come out on the wrong end of the scoreline far more often than they've won what's now known as the Florida Classic. (The worst? A 97-0 beatdown in 1960.) Things weren't looking too hot for them today, either, as the Rattlers stopped them in short yardage repeatedly throughout the day at the Citrus Bowl.
Yet when the Wildcats forced overtime and scored a touchdown on their back end, they chose to go for two—and the win—from this bizarre formation. It worked, and it earned BCU their fourth-straight Florida Classic trophy.
