Broncos Safety Will Parks Charged With Misdemeanor Domestic Violence And Harassment
Photo Credit: John McCusker/ [object Object] Broncos safety Will Parks faces misdemeanor charges of harassment and domestic violence for an incident with his ex-girlfriend, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by 9 NEWS, Denver’s NBC affiliate.
His former girlfriend called police to her house in March. She said that the two had broken up after dating for about a year and that she had recently retrieved some of her belongings from Parks’s house, with his permission to use two of his suitcases and some trash bags. His brother and one of his teammates helped her to load up her car. Parks then began calling her and leaving threatening messages, she said, including some accusing her of stealing personal items such as his birth certificate and jerseys and warning her that he would come “with his people” to retrieve them. She told police that one call included Parks threatening that he’d ask his cousin to “beat her ass.”
She said that she had repeatedly asked him to stop contacting her. His brother continued to call and text her, including once while the police were at her house; during that call, he said that Parks “was just bluffing, he was trying to scare you.”
Police interviewed Parks a week later with his attorney by his side, during which he denied ever threatening her. He was arrested and released on bond, with a court date scheduled for the end of June.
