Mandatory Credit: Eric Bolte-Imagn Images Montreal Canadiens defenseman Kaiden Guhle will miss four-to-six weeks with a lower-body injury, the team announced on Saturday.
Guhle fell to the ice in pain midway through the third period of Montreal's 3-2 overtime win against the Nashville Predators on Thursday. He doubled over upon reaching the bench and did not return to the ice.
Jayden Struble likely will replace Guhle as Lane Hutson's partner in Montreal's second defensive pairing.
Also, the team announced forwards Kirby Dach and Patrik Laine would miss Saturday's game against the visiting New York Rangers with lower-body injuries. Both are listed as day-to-day.
Guhle, 23, has two points (one goal, one assist) and a plus-1 rating in five games this season.
He has totaled 60 points (17 goals, 43 assists) in 174 career games since being selected by Montreal with the 16th overall pick of the 2020 NHL Draft.
