Congratulations To All The Bad NFL Kickers For Setting A Record Today
Photo: Bill Kostroun/ [object Object] The 33-yard extra point has flummoxed nine NFL kickers today, for a total of 11 missed PATs. There hadn’t been more than 10 missed extra points in one week of games after the 1970 AFL-NFL merger since 1985.
Here’s the list of unfortunate souls:
Vikings’ Kai Forbath (he was the replacement for the very bad Blair Walsh)
Giants’ Robbie Gould (twice)
Bears’ Connor Barth
Bengals’ Mike Nugent (twice, and he hit the upright on both misses)
Jaguars’ Jason Myers
Lions’ Matt Prater
Browns’ Cody Parkey
Patriots’ Stephen Gostkowski
Seahawks’ Stephen Hauschka (blocked by the Eagles)
Look for some of these kickers to be replaced by kickers who couldn’t make an NFL roster in the preseason.
Update (11:32 p.m. ET): Make that 12 missed extra points. Washington’s Dustin Hopkins bounced one off the upright in tonight’s game against the Packers.
