FIFA Exec Investigated For Disappearance Of Haiti Earthquake Money
If you were harboring any notions that FIFA couldn’t possibly be any more corrupt than it already is, prepare to be disabused of those notions.
According to a report from the BBC, disgraced former FIFA Vice President and all-around crazy person Jack Warner has been investigated in connection with the disappearance of hundreds of thousands of dollars that were raised by FIFA in 2010 and meant to be used to aid earthquake victims in Haiti. The BBC reports that Warner helped raise $750,000, but that the money never made it to the victims of the disaster. U.S. prosecutors are currently trying to extradite Warner from Trinidad and Tobago so that he can stand trial in America.
