Kilgore, who has also coached the U.S. U-19 and U-23 teams, took over the senior team in August 2023 when Vlatko Andonovski resigned the post.
The USWNT hired Chelsea manager Emma Hayes for the full-time role, and she joined the team in May.
The USWNT went 10-2-1 under Kilgore, winning the inaugural CONCACAF W Gold Cup in March and the SheBelieves Cup in April. Kilgore stayed on as an assistant coach for the Paris Olympics, where the Americans won gold.
