We can't really snicker much about this story, though we suspect a bunch of people who write for newspapers in New York City will be able to muster up the energy. Former Mets star Dwight Gooden had his fair share of trouble with the law, and now it's happening to his son too. Dwight Gooden Jr. was busted Sunday morning for having marijuana and shotgun shells in his car. It was also a probation violation for a previous arrest on cocaine charges. At the age of 19. Say what you will about the "tragedy" of Gooden Sr., but when he was 19, he was mowing down the National League East.
