Atlanta Hawks big man Kristaps Porzingis will miss at least two more weeks and undergo further testing due to an illness, the team announced Sunday.
Sunday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers is the seventh of the last eight that Porzingis sat out due to the issue.
Porzingis, 30, was acquired from the Boston Celtics in the offseason. He is averaging 19.2 points and 5.6 rebounds in 13 games (12 starts).
Porzingis struggled with his health during the 2025 postseason as a member of the Celtics. He averaged 7.7 points and 4.6 rebounds in limited minutes as he experienced breathing issues.
Following the season, Porzingis was diagnosed with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), a nervous system disorder that causes rapid heart rate and dizziness while standing.
At the outset of this season, Porzingis said he felt good and that doctors had found methods for him to manage the disorder.
Porzingis last played Dec. 5 when he scored 25 points in 20 minutes during a 134-133 loss to the Denver Nuggets.
The Latvia native told reporters that night that he didn't think he was dealing with POTS again.
Porzingis has career averages of 19.6 points and 7.7 rebounds in 514 games (512 starts) with the New York Knicks, Dallas Mavericks, Washington Wizards, Celtics and Hawks.
