Josh Collmenter Has Been Having A Rough Time
Photo credit: Brett Davis/ [object Object] The Atlanta Braves are a pretty bad baseball team, but they have gotten some decent production out of the bullpen, which recently went on a nice scoreless innings streak. And then there’s Josh Collmenter.
Collmenter, a 31-year-old former starter with a career 4.10 FIP, has pitched 17 innings out of the pen for the Braves this year. In those 17 innings he’s stuck out 18 batters (good), allowed 17 earned runs (bad), and served up seven homers (oh God). Against the Pirates last night, Collmenter came on in the 10th inning with the scored tied 5-5. He proceeded to give up six hits, seven runs, and three consecutive dingers.
