Map: Each State's Most Distinctive Cuisine

Here's a fun map, put together by the Huffington Post using data from Yelp, that shows each state's biggest cuisine outliers. We're all so predictable!

(Reminder that these are not the most popular cuisine types. The formula takes the number of restaurants of a given type as a percent of all restaurants in that state, and identifies the specific cuisine that is the highest percentage over the national average. For example, New Jersey's Portuguese restaurants as a percentage of the state's restaurants is 880 percent higher than the country's Portuguese places' share of the nation's eateries.)
