Nick Kyrgios Had A Meltdown At Wimbledon
After receiving a warning about swearing in the second set of his fourth-round match at Wimbledon, Nick Kyrgios stopped caring.
The 20-year-old Australian gave up on trying to play tennis against Richard Gasquet for one game, with a return that didn’t clear the net and a lack of effort on the next serve. The crowd started booing, and after one more weak attempt, Kyrgios got skunked. Put it in the book of entertaining tennis meltdowns.
That wasn’t the end of it for Kyrgios. He later argued about changing socks with the line judge:

The Guardian believes that Kyrgios could be subject to a $250,000 fine from the International Tennis Federation for giving up during the match, if that course of action’s pursued. Kyrgios did eventually start trying again, and took the third set, but Gasquet closed out the match in the fourth, winning 7-5, 6-1, 6-7, 7-6.
