Nikola Jokic Reveals How He Sets Up Those Super Cool Court-Length Passes
credits: Dan Mullan | source: [object Object] One underappreciated aspect of Nikola Jokic’s much-lauded passing ability is the way that he shrinks the court for the Nuggets and creates easy buckets out of otherwise unlikely scenarios. What I mean specifically, in this case, is that the big boy can huck it downcourt from a mile away and set up easy layups and shots for his guards. Check out this touchdown completion to Gary Harris last night.
He’s been throwing long bombs from half court and beyond all year.
Asked about how he communicates his desires to toss super long passes, Jokic obligingly showed reporters how he and Harris sort of aggressively raise their eyebrows at each other as a signal.
Mile High Sports’ T.J. McBride found a particularly silly example.
A very sly and not at all obvious tactic, Nikola.
