Northern Illinois Capitalizes On Nebraska's Charitable Offense To Pull Upset In Lincoln

Huskers quarterback Tanner Lee has thrown seven interceptions in Nebraska’s last two games. It’s one thing to throw four picks against Oregon, as Lee did last weekend, but getting completely shut down by Northern Illinois is a damn crisis. Per ESPN:
The Huskies (2-1) became the first team not in a Power Five conference or major independent to win in Lincoln since Southern Mississippi knocked off the Cornhuskers in 2004.
Nebraska outgained Northern Illinois by 160 yards and dominated time of possession, but all three of Lee’s interceptions came with heavy consequences. The Cornhuskers took the lead late after scoring 17 unanswered second-half points, but the Huskies responded with a six-play, 75-yard touchdown drive, and Lee’s last throw of the game, on 4th and 14, went directly into the hands of a Northern Illinois defender.
