Oregon Knocks Off Utah With Late Touchdown Pass, Replay
Oregon stunned 12th-ranked Utah in Salt Lake City today as Justin Herbert found Darren Carrington in the end zone with two seconds remaining on a play officials initially declared an incomplete pass before overturning the call upon a lengthy video replay.
Pac-12 Network viewers didn’t get much of a good look at the replay thanks to that network’s bottom line; while P12N has the least intrusive score ticker of all sports networks, it still covered up the vital area for viewers at home. Replay officials didn’t have that restriction, of course, and were able to make the call that Carrington’s foot landed inbounds.
The loss opens the door for USC, somehow, to reach the Pac-12 championship game, with some extra help along the way.
