Pirates place LHP Martin Perez, C Joey Bart on IL

Perez heads to the 15-day IL with a left groin strain and Bart lands on the 10-day IL with a left thumb injury.
Perez, 33, left Sunday's loss to the Atlanta Braves after three innings. He is 1-3 with a 4.71 ERA through 11 starts.
Bart, 27, was injured in the first inning on Sunday. He is batting .267 with four homers and 12 RBIs in 22 games.
The Pirates also activated third baseman Ke'Bryan Hayes from the 10-day IL and called up catcher Grant Koch.
Hayes, 27, has not played since May 7 due to low back inflammation. He is hitting .240 with 11 RBIs in 34 games.
Koch, 27, has not made his MLB debut. He is hitting .167 in 17 games this season at Triple-A Indianapolis.
