Pittsburgh Penguins Win Stanley Cup
The Pittsburgh Penguins claimed their fourth Stanley Cup tonight with a 3-1 win in San Jose, led again by a defense that mostly kept the Sharks from generating meaningful opportunities.
Brian Dumoulin and Kris Letang’s goals proved the difference, with Patric Hornqvist adding a late empty-netter. San Jose goalie Martin Jones was, again, marvelous in a losing cause. Sidney Crosby won the Conn Smythe Trophy, because even in victory life shits on Phil Kessel.
