Rangers' Ryan Lindgren exits Islanders game with lower-body injury

The Rangers announced Lindgren would not return due to a lower-body injury.
With 4:21 remaining in the second period, Lindgren and JG Pageau went to get the puck in the left corner along the end boards behind the Rangers' net. His leg twisted awkwardly as the two players jostled for possession and Lindgren fell to the ice.
After grabbing his leg, Lindgren was on the ice for a few minutes before being helped off the ice by a trainer and teammates Erik Gustafsson and Alexis Lafreniere.
Lindgren has two goals and 11 assists in 66 games this season.
