Report: Dwyane Wade Signs One-Year Deal With The Cavs
Photo: Jason Miller/ [object Object] Fresh off his buyout from Chicago, Dwyane Wade is headed to Cleveland, signing a one-year, $2.3 million deal with the Cavs, according to The Vertical’s Shams Charania.
Since news of Wade’s buyout broke, the Cavs seemed like a likely destination, given the opportunity of a reunion with LeBron James. Clearly, Cleveland is also where Wade wanted to go, since even with his recently diminished talents and injury problems, $2.3 million is a bargain.
Wade will turn 36 in January, and after posting his lowest points per game in 2016-17 (18.3) since his rookie season, he’ll be a mere role player in Cleveland. If Wade can recapture even a fraction of the magic he had during his run with LeBron on the Miami Heat, the Cavs will be happy. Goddamn, these guys were incredible together:
