Report: MLB Investigating Yasiel Puig Under New Domestic Violence Policy
Dodgers slugger Yasiel Puig will face an MLB investigation under the league’s new domestic violence policy after his alleged involvement in a Miami brawl earlier this week, the Los Angeles Times.
TMZ had earlier reported witnesses claimed Puig sparked the brawl after pushing his sister at Miami club Blue Martini on Wednesday. The Associated Press reports Puig suffered a swollen eye and facial bruises after fighting with a bouncer, who claims Puig sucker-punched him according to AP’s source.
Neither the bouncer nor Puig wished to press charges, according to the AP. Puig would be the second player investigated under MLB’s new and open-ended domestic violence policy.
