The Golden State Warriors and guard Moses Moody agreed to a three-year, $39 million extension, ESPN reported Sunday.
Moody, who is in the final year of his rookie contract, averaged a career-high 8.1 points in 66 games last season. He is expected to have an expanded role this season after the Warriors lost veteran shooting guard Klay Thompson to the Dallas Mavericks in free agency.
The 22-year-old guard, who was selected with the 14th pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, averaged 15.5 points in the preseason, shooting 45.6 percent from the floor and 39.4 percent from beyond the arc.
Entering his fourth season, Moody has averaged 5.9 points, 2.1 rebounds and 0.7 assists in 181 career games.
