Mandatory Credit: Mark Konezny-Imagn Images The Buffalo Bills are releasing veteran cornerback Taron Johnson, multiple outlets reported on Friday.
Parting ways with Johnson, who turns 30 in July, reportedly will free up $8.67 million in salary cap space.
Johnson started 87 games over the past eight seasons with the Bills, including eight of his 13 games in 2025.
He has 572 tackles, eight sacks, eight forced fumbles and six interceptions (with two touchdowns) in 113 games. He was a second-team All-Pro selection in 2023.
Johnson signed a three-year, $30.75 million extension in March 2024 with $17.82 million in guaranteed money.
The Bills drafted Johnson in the fourth round in 2018, the same year they got quarterback Josh Allen with the No. 7 overall pick.
