Reports: Brewers calling up RHP Jacob Misiorowski
Brewers top pitching prospect Jacob Misiorowski, shown in spring training, reportedly will be called up by the Milwaukee Brewers. The Milwaukee Brewers are calling up hard-throwing right-hander Jacob Misiorowski, their top pitching prospect, multiple outlets reported Tuesday.
He is expected make his MLB debut on Thursday in a home start against the St. Louis Cardinals, MLB.com reported.
The 6-foot-7 Misiorowski is ranked by MLB Pipeline as the No. 68 overall prospect in baseball, and the No. 4 prospect for Milwaukee.
With the Triple-A Nashville Sounds this season, the 23-year-old has a 4-2 record with a 2.13 ERA in 13 games (12 starts). In 63 1/3 innings, he has struck out 80 batters but walked 31.
The Brewers selected him in the second round of the 2022 MLB Draft out of Crowder College in Missouri.
In 223 2/3 total innings in the minors, he has an 11-9 record and a 3.04 ERA in 68 games (55 starts) and has struck out 320 batters.
His fastball can reach triple digits and has received a score of 80 -- the highest possible -- on the scouting scale.
