Reports: Reds reach 3-year deal with 3B Jeimer Candelario

The 30-year-old switch-hitter batted .251 with 22 homers and 70 RBIs in 140 games in 2023 while splitting time with the Washington Nationals and Chicago Cubs.
The deal includes a club option for $15 million in 2027, according to reports from ESPN and MLB.com.
Candelario is a career .243/.325/.414 hitter with 88 home runs and 318 RBIs in 746 games with the Cubs (2016-17, 2023), Detroit Tigers (2017-22) and Nationals.
Candelario has started 76 games at first base in addition to his 620 career starts at third.
