Rock Me Gently: Your NFL Late Games Open Thread
Here are your late games. Enjoy witty back and forth with each other down below.
Arizona at San Francisco (FOX): Stud NFL quarterback John Skelton looks to lead the Cardinals to a third straight win. Expect a 400 yard, 3 touchdown game out of him. Canton, here he comes.
Seattle at St. Louis (FOX): Ah yes, the stoppable force vs. movable object paradox: "The Seahawks defense has recorded 14 sacks, which is the third-fewest. The Rams offense has allowed 32 sacks this season, the most of any NFL team, and Sunday they'll be playing without either of their two starting tackles. Right tackle Jason Smith will miss his fourth game because of a concussion and left tackle Rodger Saffold is out with an injured pectoral muscle." [ Seattle Times]
Tennessee at Atlanta (CBS): I like the plan, but I think Chris Johnson is going to turn things around because he just blew his own mind. "'Me and coach Munchak said these next eight games, it's a new season,' Johnson said. 'So we're in a new season right now and, basically, just trying to make this new season the best part of this whole season.'" [ FS Tennessee]
San Diego at Chicago (CBS): Jay Cutler and Phillip Rivers renew their rivalry and I am really beginning to like Cutler a lot. "Where did the rivalry start? 'I don't know,' Cutler said. Was it during that 2007 game? 'I don't remember,' he said. Do you miss playing against him? 'No,' Cutler said." And "When asked if he's had a chance to soothe things with him, Cutler said, 'I don't know him. You have his number, so we can talk?'" [ WaPo]
