Tennessee State Ends Murray State's Undefeated Season By Flopping Its Way To Victory
A technical foul called on Murray State's Ed Daniel—one that resulted from a clear flop that the referees had ample time to view on replay—helped Tennessee State upset Murray State and end the Racers' dream of an undefeated season.
Murray State had gone into the game 23-0 and was the last Division I unbeaten team remaining.
While TSU's Robert Covington went on to miss the resulting free throws, the extra possession (and the T counting as Daniel's fourth personal foul) gave the Tigers the edge for a 72-68 upset.
We're sure the pollsters, having watched the game and understanding the circumstances, won't drop the Racers too far in the next rankings. Ha-ha-ha, no, MSU'll suffer a steep drop for the home loss. [ESPN3]
