Two Swiss Skiers Come Down With Norovirus At Olympics
Photo credit: AP The Norovirus outbreak at the 2018 Olympics has mostly been confined to staff and security personnel, but today it was confirmed that the bug has finally reached the athletes.
A spokesman for the Swiss Olympic team announced that two freestyle skiers contracted the virus a few days ago, but that their symptoms have mostly subsided. Reuters reports that one of the skiers who was infected is Fabian Bösch, who became internet famous for doing a cool elevator trick.
Bösch and the other skier were reportedly sequestered and kept out of the athlete’s village while they got over the disease, so here’s hoping nobody else comes down with it.
