"This is still truly the first step to getting back. Nothing imminent," head coach John Hynes cautioned on Thursday.
Kaprizov, 27, remains week-to-week with 10 games left in the regular season. He will miss his 23rd consecutive game on Thursday night against the visiting Washington Capitals.

The Calder Trophy recipient as the NHL's top rookie in 2020-21, Kaprizov has totaled 382 points (183 goals, 199 assists) in 315 career games with the Wild.
