Yankees Continue To Blow Off Criticism Of Ticketing Policy Like True Rich Assholes
Not satisfied with actively screwing their fans with a bunk new ticketing policy that bans print-at-home tickets, the New York Yankees’ brain trust is now being straight-up hostile to critics of the new rule. First, COO Lonn Trost went on the radio and admitted that the team doesn’t want smelly poor people mixing with the rich folks, and now team president Randy Levine is getting in on the action.
Yesterday, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. wrote a letter condemning the Yankees’ new policy as one that “discriminates against baseball fans who might take advantage of free-market economics to occasionally enjoy a ball game at a reasonable price.” Borough President is a relatively powerless political office, and Diaz Jr.’s tame and fair letter is no great threat to Yankees’ reputation. That didn’t stop Levine from popping off like a dick:
These people really suck.
