Yasiel Puig Misreads Fly Ball, Catches It Anyway, Starts Double Play
Sometimes, highlights begin with an error. Yoenis Cespedes wouldn't have made that throw if he fielded that ball correctly. But aren't highlights revered because of how those plays shouldn't be made? Isn't the impressive part that few players have the ability to recover so quickly like Cespedes did in that situation?
Anyway, we're probably getting too deep for a Sunday morning, but in Saturday's game against the Rockies, Yasiel Puig's talent turned a mistake into a double play.
Puig initially ran in for Drew Stubbs's fly ball, but he figured out its direction just in time to make the catch. The Dodgers outfielder jumped up to start a relay and nail Rockies catcher Wilin Rosario at third.
